William Sitwell was the obvious choice as guest editor of our annual food-themed issue. As well as writing several bestselling books on the subject, hosting monthly supper clubs and running the ‘world’s smallest wine shop’, William is a regular judge on BBC’s MasterChef. He famously made headlines in 2018 when as editor of Waitrose’s multi-award-winning Food magazine he resigned over ill-judged remarks about ‘killing vegans’. Since then, he has been appointed as restaurant critic for The Telegraph. A keen shot and inexperienced-but-enthusiastic fisherman, William is keen to promote the benefits of eating game to the public.
