The Any Variety Spaniel 5 Regions Charity Working Test takes place on 17 May 2025 in aid of Mind, the Gamekeepers Welfare Trust and Scottish Action for Mental Health.
The event is running to raise awareness of mental health and is limited to 40 dogs. It will be held under Kennel Club Limited Rules and Regulations (J’).
The top three dogs from each region will go through to the final, which will be held at The Game Fair, Ragley Hall.

Regional events will take place at the following locations:

South East Region Test Location, HOLRIDE FARM, Ripley.
Wales/West Midlands Region Test Location, POWYS CASTLE.
Midlands Region Test Location, MANTON, near Gainsborough
South West Region Test Location, BROAD DOWN FARM, Near Honiton, Devon.
North Region Test Location, SLIPPERFIELD, West Linton.

Event organiser Jane Sutherland said: “In recent years we have seen several people within our sport struggle with various mental health problems and, very sadly, some of these have resulted in loss of life. We all hear others saying, “If only I’d known,” or, “If only I’d answered the phone.” Now is our chance to come together as a sporting community and show what we can do.”

Regional secretaries’ contact information can be found on the Facebook page via the regional schedules. Entry fees are: £20 first dog, £10 subsequent dogs (no limit on number of dogs one handler enters).

Entries are accepted by email or post to the regional test secretary and close on 3 May 2025. (Postal entries accompanied by SAE or email address). The draw will be carried out at 8pm on Sunday 4 May at the Test Secretary’s home.
